Dr. James Lewis
My name is James Lewis. I am a Chiropractor who is dedicated to helping people enjoy a healthier lifestyle, free of pain. Enabling clients to live more functional and fulfilling lives is my passion. I look forward to helping you discover the meaning of health and recovery.
Educating my patients about how their body functions and how best to serve it, is something I feel strongly about. I believe there is always a higher level of health to strive for; even the healthiest people have a higher level of function available to them. Our bodies are complex and amazing and we owe them the basic care and maintenance they require.
I grew up on the outskirts of Vancouver, Canada. When I was approximately 10 years old, I woke up one morning unable to move my back and my neck due to severe pain. I visited a Chiropractor and received my first adjustment; immediately I felt better. This was my first experience with Chiropractic Medicine and it has held my fascination and interest ever since that day.
In undergrad, I studied Human Kinetics and Human Biology. I received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. I graduated with a doctorate from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. I believe my attraction to the Chiropractic profession is due to the hands-on and personal nature that Chiropractic Medicine has to offer.
I am committed to helping my patients feel healthy and strong. My practice includes functional evaluation, treatment and management. This process guides the development of individualized treatment plans, custom tailored for each client. My approach includes a combination of chiropractic manipulation, kinesiotaping, electric modalities and corrective therapeutic exercises in order to address the specific needs of the patient.
I am a life-long athlete who has sustained multiple injuries from basketball, snowboarding and soccer. These personal experiences have given me the heightened ability to understand, relate to and connect with my patients.
I enjoy going camping, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, exercising, hiking, and playing soccer. Travelling is another one of my passions in life. Previously, I lived in Japan for 3 years and although I am not 100% fluent, I can speak some Japanese. I also lived in England for 1 year. Several countries I have visited include: Italy, France, Spain, Finland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Germany and Mexico.
I look forward to getting to know you and your family. Patients of all ages are welcome. Please call our office to set up your consultation appointment today!
